This semi-antique, hand-knotted, woolen Persian carpet is part of a set of 2 “almost” identical pieces. As they are manually made by artisans they are “almost” identical. The clean and intricate design, with the soft colours, makes this rug to blend into any room with ease.
The owner purchased it from a dealer in antique and semi-antique Persian carpets, in the Middle-East in 1997, and used it in his European home for almost 13 years. Thereafter, it was safely kept in storage.
Size: 145x227 cm.
Origin: Persia (Iran); may be from cities of either Kashan or Isfahan.
Knots: About 330,000 per m2.
Principal colours: Ivory, blue and camel.
